Some of the hundreds of residents displaced by the fire at the Skyline Tower Apartments in St. Paul last Sunday have been able to return to their homes.
The City of St. Paul announced that the apartment building at 1247 St Anthony Ave. "partially reopened" on Friday, with residents from 141 households in the building's east tower returning to their homes.
The city said this represented "about half" of the tower's residents, though exact numbers have not been provided.
CommonBond Communities', the affordable housing nonprofit that operates the building, says the tower contains 487 households in total, containing a total of 773 residents.
