DRAKE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man and a woman were seriously injured in a shooting Friday night in Nash County.
The sheriff's office responded to a reported shooting just before 7:10 p.m. in the 5000 block of Derring Drive in Drake.
Deputies found a 45-year-old man with facial injuries and a 40-year-old woman with injuries to the hip. Both were taken to a hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
Authorities identified Va'Dall English as the suspect. According to the sheriff's office, the incident is believed to stem from an ongoing dispute between the involved parties.
English was later arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill. He is being held at the Nash County Detention Center without bond.
