LANCASTER, Ky. (WKYT) -
A familiar face across televisions in central and eastern Kentucky has died.
The Kentucky Lantern reports Barry Peel, who served as the Frankfort correspondent at stations WKYT and WTVQ, died Friday, Oct. 31 at the age of 80.
A respected journalist for more than 3 decades, Peel was known for his devotion to state politics.
He was a frequent guest on Kentucky Educational Television’s “Comment on Kentucky,” and moderated numerous debates.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
