The Savannah Police Department has made an arrest in a fatal Halloween-day shooting, according to an SPD press release.
Edward King, 57, was taken into custody and charged with murder Saturday in connection with an Oct. 31 shooting near West 34th Street and Ogeechee Road.
Officers responded to the shooting just after 1:30 p.m. Friday based on ShotSpotter reports, the press release said. At the scene, officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest.
The victim was provided first aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where the victim ultimately succumbed to the injuries.
