AUSTIN, Texas — A scene is now clear following a situation in South Austin involving the Austin Police Department (APD) SWAT unit early Saturday morning.
According to APD, officers responded to the 12900 block of Cardinal Flower Drive, near SH 45, for a hotshot call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female victim who was also the 911 caller.
SWAT was called out to the residence, believing the suspect may have barricaded themselves inside. However, after searching the residence, police did not locate the suspect.
The scene was cleared just before 5 a.m. APD says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
