A special Halloween episode of South Park that aired Friday night is sparking outrage among the MAGA world, with one prominent MAGA influencer decrying the new episode – which mocks the Trump administration’s demolition of the White House’s East Wing – as “terrifying.”
Titled “The Woman in the Hat,” the latest episode of the popular animated sitcom depicts President Donald Trump – in a love affair with Satan – overseeing the destruction of the East Wing, which was demolished last month to make way for the president’s proposed ball room, a luxury 90,000 square-foot event space estimated to cost $300 million.
Dominick McGee, a right-wing influencer better known by his online alias on X, “Dom Lucre,” where he’s amassed more than 1.6 million followers, launched into a homophobic rant over the episode directed at the show’s creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, labeling them with a homophobic slur.
“From a long term fan and Conservative, South Park has lost its way,” McGee wrote in a social media post on X. “...F--- you guys, it’s terrifying to see one of the most creative IPs chase a wave that died off 4 years [ago]. Matt and Trey are f---.”
McGee, who’s described himself as “one of the poor creators” after being paid around $157,000 from X since 2023, was not alone in his disdain for South Park’s depiction of the White House’s destruction. Another X user – “Smell My Musk” – who condemns the Black Lives Matter movement and Democrats on their profile, argued that the show had been rendered irrelevant due to its continued mockery of Trump.
“Way to destroy your legacy with this crap,” they wrote in a social media post on X. “Notice how no one is talking about South Park at all anymore after about the 3rd [episode] of this season.”
Other majorly influential right-wing social media accounts chimed in as well, including X user “Clown World,” which has amassed more than 3 million followers, writing that they had “stopped watching this crap a while back.”
And other, less-known X users, declared they would never watch the show again, including X user “Brother Gary,” who frequently shares content from other right-wing influencers and figures.
“I hate this show,” they wrote in a
social media poston X. “4 years of comedy gold with Biden. Not one skit. I'll never watch it again.”
