Those interested in watching a documentary on homelessness in Chatham-Kent will have a second chance, after being rained out last time around.
Twin sisters Kat and Karissa Strain, founders of The Sisters Strain film company, will host a free public screening of Unhoused: Communities in Crisis on Nov. 8 at the Chatham Capitol Theatre.
The rained-out screening took place on Oct. 10 in Tecumseh Park. The sisters soon noticed a desire to add another show.
“Afterwards, we heard feedback from the community that some people either weren’t aware that it was happening, and others wanted to know what it would cost to rent the Capitol,” Karissa said.
The aim of the documentary is to shed light on homelessness and encampments, while working towards a solution.
