It’s been a season to remember for the Miyamura girls' soccer team — a group of athletes bonded by years of friendship, shared heartbreak, and one mission: redemption.
Just a year ago, the Patriots came heartbreakingly close to a district title. That runner-up disappointment didn’t define them — it fueled them.
“Obviously, it’s disheartening,” said Adyson Spoiler. “But I knew this year was going to be our year.”
And it has been. Miyamura captured the district title, made back-to-back postseason appearances, and allowed just five goals in the regular season while scoring more than 100 — signifying the program's rise in high school soccer.
For these girls, success didn’t happen overnight. Many of them have been banded together since before high school.
