KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A man is in custody after shooting at bond agents and barricading himself inside a Kalamazoo business for hours on Friday evening.

According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office (KCSO), around 6:10 p.m., bond agents were at a business located at 2980 Business One Drive to pick up a man who had violated the conditions of his bond.

While attempting to arrest the man, deputies said he fired two rounds through the window of the business at the bond agents.

The business area was locked down and officers were called to the area. A search warrant was executed.

Deputies said after several hours of negotiations, the man gave himself up and was taken into custody without further issue. He's being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
