To the editor:

As someone who made the journey from resident to ward councilor in 2023, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for how our city works and just how much dedication it takes to serve our community. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Councilor Jim McCauley, representing our respective wards—Ward 3 for me and Ward 5 for him. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Mayor Reardon in his role as our city’s leader.
