A 15-year-old Carleton boy died after being hit by a vehicle about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 while walking on a Frenchtown Township road, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Preliminary investigation showed the boy was walking southbound on the northbound shoulder of North Telegraph Road south of Paree Street near the white fog line with a 14-year-old Newport boy.
The sheriff's office said the Carleton teen was hit by a white Dodge Journey driven by a 31-year-old Newport woman.
The Dodge Journey came to a controlled stop in the Marathon Gas Station parking lot, north of where the crash occurred.
