A body was recovered from the Farmington River on Friday night after a woman contacted the Connecticut State Police with concerns after her neighbor’s dog showed up at her home alone.

A woman contacted Troop B in North Canaan on Friday to report that her neighbor’s dog ran up to her door with its leash still attached and the neighbor was nowhere to be found, state police said. According to state police, the neighbor was last seen walking in the parking lot with their dog around 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
