An investigation is underway after police said a man was shot and killed Saturday morning in West Philadelphia.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, at 11:14 a.m., officers responded to the 5200 block of Walnut Street for a shooting.

Police said at the scene that officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead at 11:35 a.m.

Police have not provided any additional information regarding this shooting.
