At least 52 students were hospitalised after they complained of vomiting and stomach ache after consuming dinner at a state-run welfare hostel for boys in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district on Friday, according to officials.

The students from the hospital in Dharmavaram were admitted to a government hospital, where doctors confirmed on Saturday that they are clinically stable.

Around 110 students had dinner at the school hostel around 6:30 pm, after which some complained of stomach aches. The affected students said they were served sambar, rice, and cabbage curry for dinner on Friday night, after which they experienced stomach pain and vomiting.
