LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Fire crews responded to Harry Reid International Airport Saturday morning after a fuel overflow involving up to 100 gallons, officials said.

According to the Combined Communications Center, dispatchers received a call just after 7 a.m. reporting 30 to 100 gallons of Jet A fuel overflowing from the top of an above-ground tank.

When firefighters arrived, they found the spill within a designated retention basin.

Officials later confirmed that roughly 5,000 gallons of fuel had collected in the basin, preventing any spread beyond the immediate area. Crews pulled precautionary hose lines, but no fire or hazardous exposure occurred.

All airport employees in the area were accounted for.
