Keairah Dykes’ big-time performance helped Northern field hockey secure third place in the District 3 tournament.

Northern’s PIAA Class 2A playoff seeding is slightly better after defeating Hershey 6-2 Saturday morning in the District 3 2A third-place game.

Dykes totaled 5 goals and an assist. Ava Hondorf added a goal while MJ Simpson had four assists.

Polar Bears’ goalie Lauryn Hose saved 10 shots as well.

Larkin Tweet and Lexi Hahn scored both goals for the Trojans.
