DALLAS — One person died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Dallas on Halloween, officials say.

Officers were called to the crash in the 2100 block of E. Ledbetter Drive shortly before 9:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and found a person had been hit by an unknown vehicle that had left the scene, police say.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and took the person to a hospital, where the person died, officials say. The person who was hit wasn't identified.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
