Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Alex Vesia was not listed on the World Series roster for his team after they won the NCLS. The Dodgers announced before the finals that he would be away from the team for a ‘deeply personal family matter.’
Vesia and his wife Kayla announced on Instagram back in April that they were expecting their first child. She last posted on Instagram during the Dodgers’ NLCS clinching victory, and her post is flooded with both Dodgers and Jays fans offering their family love and support following the announcement of Vesia leaving the team.
Dodgers pitchers have been seen with Vesia’s No. 51 etched on their hats in this series.
