ADDISON, Ill. (WLS) -- A 45-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting at officers from inside his Addison home on Thursday.

Salvador Lozano made his first court appearance on Saturday. He is also charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm at an Officer, Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by Felon.

It all started when Addison police responded to a 911 call in the 200-block of East La Porte Drive just before 11 a.m. Thursday.

Lozano requested that "people to come find his dogs or his people will go looking for them and the police should do their job," officials said.
