The Calgary Flames have left Zayne Parekh out of the lineup again.
Parekh will not play in Saturday’s game against the Nashville Predators because of a coach’s decision, per Sportsnet’s Eric Francis.
The top prospect missed the Flames’ last game against the Senators because he was dealing with a minor ailment. The 19-year-old has been in and out of the lineup and was healthy scratched for the first two games this season. In games where he’s played, he’s consistently been the sixth defenceman.
Parekh has played in nine games, registering one assist in 15:53 of average ice time.
The 19-year-old was selected ninth overall by the Flames in 2024 and named the top CHL defender of that year.
