New Delhi: India and South Africa will meet in the final of the Women’s ODI World Cup at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 2. The tournament is set to have a new winner along with former champions Australia, England and New Zealand.
The Women in Blue reached in the ODI World Cup final for the third time after finishing runners-up against Australia in 2005 and England in 2017. They had also lost the Commonwealth Games gold medal match against Australia in 2022.
After winning two games against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, Harmanpreet and Co. suffered three consecutive defeats against Australia, England and South Africa. They defeated New Zealand to seal a spot in the semifinal of the tournament.
