VIRGINIA (CBS19 NEWS) — Virginia is set to become home to the nation’s largest workforce development center for advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Governor Glenn Youngkin on Friday announced a new partnership between the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation and three major pharmaceutical companies — AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Merck. Together, they’ve committed up to $120 million to launch the Virginia Center for Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, which will serve as the largest training facility of its kind in the country.
