CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) – Four people were hospitalized following an overnight shooting at a private party on River Road, according to the Charlottesville Police Department.

Officers responded to multiple 911 calls around 12:43 a.m. Saturday reporting an active shooter at 1147 River Road. Police say an officer who was nearby heard the gunfire and arrived within moments.
