It's a new season, says Army football coach Jeff Monken, as the Black Knights attempt to win back the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy.
Army's first leg arrives today when the Black Knights travel to Air Force . The Falcons have already been eliminated from the three-team challenge, having lost at Navy 34-31 on Oct. 4. Army must beat Air Force and current Trophy holder Navy on Dec. 13 to regain the crown.
The Army football team takes its 3-4 record into Saturday's 12 p.m. ET road clash with Air Force (2-5).
Neither team has a mathematical path to their respective conference championship games, and both are facing uphill odds to reach the six wins required to make an NCAA bowl game. Since the Dec. 13 Army-Navy game occurs after the bids, Army must win three of its next four to qualify. Ai
