HARVEY, N.D. — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the man killed Friday, Oct. 31, in a crash with a combine.

According to a release from the patrol, Mark Mears, 47, of Harvey, was traveling eastbound in a 2020 Nissan Titan at 12:53 p.m. on 29th Street Northeast, roughly two miles northeast of Harvey. A 2025 Case 9260 combine, driven by 23-year-old Ethan Arnold, of Harvey, was driving southbound on 39th Avenue Northeast.

Neither vehicle yielded at the intersection, which is uncontrolled, and a T-bone collision occurred, the release said. Neither Mears nor Arnold were wearing seat belts.

Mears died at the scene while Arnold was uninjured.

The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
