Jammu Tawi, Nov 01: In a major action against ticketless and irregular travel, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway collected approximately Rs 67 lakh in fines during October 2025, penalising 11,386 passengers, officials said on Saturday.
The ticket checking campaign, as per the news agency, was carried out under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Vivek Kumar and supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) Uchit Singhal, with ticket checking teams and Chief Ticket Inspectors conducting regular and surprise inspections at stations and onboard trains.
