A woman died Oct. 23 from injuries she sustained after a car hit her while she rode an electric scooter in North Portland the day before, police said Friday.

Alicia M. Long, 41, of Portland, was seriously injured after a car hit her at the intersection of North Vancouver Avenue and Weidler Street around 1:45 a.m. Oct. 22, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement.

Police said that Long was riding a Lime scooter westbound on a one-way eastbound section of Weidler Street when she crossed the intersection on a red light.

The driver of a southbound 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 SUV entered the intersection on a green light and collided with Long, police said.
