COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A driver suspected of being under the influence allegedly hit a police cruiser early Saturday morning.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers were assisting a disabled vehicle at 12:43 a.m. on northbound I-25, just south of Garden of the Gods Road.

Police said a vehicle traveling northbound hit the rear driver’s side quarter panel of a marked police cruiser that had its emergency lights activated.

The driver, Chante Rue, was determined to be driving under the influence and cited at the scene, police said.

No injuries were reported.
