A local nonprofit is asking for public input on plans for the Saluda Grade Trail, a mixed-use biking and walking path set to run from Inman, South Carolina, to Zirconia, just outside Flat Rock.

The Saluda Grade Trails Conservancy, the group behind the trail project, bought the Saluda Grade, a 31.5 mile stretch of freight railroad , for $28.5 million in June, the Times-News previously reported.

Now, it wants to hear from people in the communities along the trail about their vision for the project at the Fall Forum drop-in event , 4:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Landrum Farmers Market and in an online survey open through Dec. 1 .
