Dear Care and Feeding,

I’ve been married to my husband, “Sam,” for nine years, and we have a 4-year-old daughter, “Amy.” We love each other tremendously, but we had a difficult start to the relationship. We’re not from the U.S., and class divides are very stark in our home country.
