Pranav Mohanlal’s latest horror thriller, Dies Irae, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, hit the big screens yesterday and opened to positive reviews from critics. For the uninitiated, Rahul Sadasivan previously directed highly acclaimed horror films Bhoothakalam and Bramayugam.

Dies Irae has now created a sensation by emerging as the biggest A-rated Malayalam opener, surpassing Marco. The movie collected close to Rs. 12 crores gross worldwide as per trade reports, including paid premieres, which is an excellent number for a small-budget film. Since the reports are encouraging, Dies Irae is expected to have a solid weekend at the box office.
