Enid native and current Shawnee resident Jordan Baker will be in the World Series spotlight on Saturday night. The 6'7 Baker will be the home plate umpire in the decisive game between the Blue Jays and Dodgers in Toronto. Baker was not on the field as an umpire for Friday night's Game 6. He was an alternate and was likely in one of the Rogers Centre tunnels in case he was called upon to be a sub.

Baker became a Major League umpire in 2012 and has a vast postseason resume. This is the second World Series that Baker has umpired in; he was also part of the crew in the 2022 World Series.
