The memory of the 2023 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 state finals has long lived in the back of Micah Zacks’ head.

Zacks, a sophomore at the time, walked off the field alongside his teammates with the state runner-up trophy following a 3-2 loss to Hudsonville Unity Christian.
