ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The New York State Police has announced the arrest of a man following an investigation into lottery theft.

According to state police, on September 27, 67-year-old David M. Miller of Wolcott was working at the Wolcott Elks Lodge when he allegedly generated $9,498 worth of New York State Quick Draw lottery tickets using a bar terminal and did not pay.

Troopers note that while the tickets resulted in $4,164 in winnings, the remaining $5,334 from the original balance was not paid for.

Miller was arrested on Friday and charged with grand larceny in the third degree for his actions.

He was then taken to Wayne County Jail for CAP arraignment and released.
