One man is dead after lunging at Lower Paxton Township police officers with a knife, according to Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. Saturday in the 4500 block of Valley Road near Colonial Road.
Chardo said a man with a knife attacked two Lower Paxton Township police officers who were responding to a domestic violence incident.
One of the officers shot the man, who was not identified, Chardo said.
“What we do in all of these cases is we investigate the use of deadly force,” he said.
Before police arrived, Chardo said the man wounded a female at a different location in the township. She is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, he said.
Due to the nature of the incident and involvement of police, Chardo said he will make an evaluation
