MINNEAPOLIS, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State currently trails Minnesota 10-0 at halftime.

After MSU’s defense forced a three and out, Alessio Milivojevic took the field for his first career start. The Spartans were able to drive it down the field but had a couple of critical penalties. MSU would come away empty-handed after Martin Connington missed the 46-yard field goal attempt.

Both teams would punt on their following drives. Minnesota got on the board first when Fame Ijeboi scored the one-yard rushing touchdown to give the Golden Gophers a 7-0 lead.

Michigan State would turn it over on downs on the Spartans’ first drive of the second quarter. Minnesota added to its lead with a Brady Denaburg 30-yard field goal to make it 10-0 Golden Gophers.
