Indiana basketball added a second commitment to its 2026 recruiting class Saturday with the pledge of 6-foot-6 wing Vaughn Karvala, a consensus top-50 national recruit from Oregon, Wisconsin.

Karvala chose the Hoosiers over a group of finalists that included Xavier and California and also had offers from Syracuse, Marquette and Wisconsin, among others.

“I know there’s a rich tradition of basketball at Indiana and I can’t wait to be a part of it," Karvala told Rivals . "(Indiana) has a hometown feeling to it since I was born and raised in the Midwest, and has a great college atmosphere."

The 170-pound Karvala is the No. 43 recruit in his class, per On3, making him the highest-ranked high-school commitment yet for first-year Hoosiers coach Darian DeVries.
