BREWER -- The number one seed Narraguagus Knights earned the Class D state title after defeating the two seed George Stevens Eagles 3-1 on Saturday morning.
The opening set was tightly contested, and both Knight's libero Eileen Berry and outside hitter Lola Worchester recorded service aces to set the tone.
However, the Eagles claimed the first set, highlighted by junior Acadia Simmons' play at the net where she recorded several blocks and kills to put her team up 1-0 early.
After dropping the opening set, the Knights would go on to win the following three to take home the Class D state title.
Congratulations, Knights!
