The partner of a mum who died alongside her dog in a crash in Port Glasgow has paid tribute to his soulmate. ‌

Amy Gray, 42, was crossing the eastbound carriageway of the A8 on Greenock Road with her dog Reggie on Wednesday, October 29, when they were struck by a Land Rover Sport at around 7.05am. ‌

Both died at the scene despite efforts from first responders. The driver was not injured in the collision . ‌

David, her partner of eight years, paid tribute to the 'amazing' mum-of-five.

He told the Greenock Telegraph : "I will try my hardest to raise the wee ones as good as you would have.
