SAULT STE. MARIE — Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens visited the Sault Tribe Health Center in Sault Ste. Marie to learn more about health care access in the Upper Peninsula.
Stevens met with Tribal Chairman Austin Lowes and other tribal leaders to discuss how federal policy impacts rural and tribal health services.
The Health Center serves seven counties and provides care to both tribal members and non-tribal residents.
During the visit, Stevens reaffirmed her commitment to supporting rural tribal communities.
