An explosion that appears to be done intentionally took place inside a building at Harvard University’s Medical Campus early Saturday morning, according to a university spokesperson.
At 2:48 a.m. a Harvard University Police Department officer was sent to the Goldenson building at 220 Longwood Ave, in Boston for a reported fire alarm activation. When they arrived at the building, the officer saw two unidentified people fleeing the area. The officer tried to stop the individuals before heading to the floor where the alarm was triggered.
When they entering the building, the officer determined that an explosion had happened in an area on the 4 th floor, the spokesperson said. The Boston Fire Department’s arson unit was called and assessed the explosion was caused on purpose. The Boston P
