(FOX40.COM) — A man was pronounced dead by the Stockton Police Department after being struck by a vehicle in the Lakeview District on Friday night.

On the 4900 Block of Pacific Avenue, officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a pedestrian before fleeing. When they arrived at the scene, officers located the unresponsive victim.

After being transported to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead.

No suspect has been identified or located.
