SMU dims No. 10 Miami's Playoff chances in overtime

T.J. Harden's 1-yard touchdown run in overtime was the difference maker in SMU upset over No. 10 Miami 26-20 on Saturday.

The Hurricanes took a second loss in three weeks, which came on their first trip outside the state of Florida this season. It was also a major blow to their College Football Playoff hopes.

Ahmaad Moses intercepted Carson Beck at the goal line on Miami’s first possession of overtime, setting up Harden’s winning score. His fourth straight carry of the drive to cap a wild finish for the Mustangs. SMU extended their home conference winning streak to 13 games and celebrated with fans storming the field as the goalposts were torn down.
