PEARLAND, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a child who was riding a mini-bike was killed after being hit by a driver in Pearland on Saturday, according to police.
According to the Pearland Police Department, officers responded to the crash in the 2400 block of Lynn Drive at 11:09 a.m.
Police said that the boy was riding on a small, gas-powered mini bike when he collided with the car.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Law enforcement says that the driver stayed at the scene.
