BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WIS) - One person is dead following an early morning shooting on Saturday that happened in Blythewood, authorities said.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a scene at the 600 block of Camp Ground Road around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday after receiving calls about a shooting.
When deputies got to the scene, they allegedly found people trying to help a victim who had an upper-body gunshot wound. Deputies said they began to render aid until EMS arrived.
Once EMS arrived, they reportedly said the victim died at the scene.
Authorities have not said as of 6 p.m. on Nov. 1 if this shooting is related to another one that took place on Halloween night that injured two .
