EASLEY — It was a short week, but it produced big results.

No.4 Greenwood powered through limited practice time to close out its regular season in dominant fashion, earning a hard-fought 49–7 road victory over Easley.

“It was kind of weird, playing on a Thursday night, because it rained all week. We didn’t really get outside, but for one good practice. Made you a little nervous, because you wondered if you were prepared enough,” Greenwood coach Chris Liner said.

With a running clock at the conclusion on Thursday’s game, Greenwood’s starters put on their headsets and cheered from the sidelines, showing support for the next generation of Greenwood players.
