BROOKLYN — Competing against the best runners in the state, a handful of local athletes proved they belonged with standout performances at the Michigan High School Athletic Association cross country state finals Saturday, Nov. 1, at Michigan International Speedway.

Division 1

Lakeview had two runners compete in the Division 1 race with sophomore Karson Lewis finishing in 69th in 16:05 and Elijah Demlow finishing in 16:20.
