The Eagles are working hard the weekend before the NFL trade deadline, and have made a trade with the Baltimore Ravens for former Pro Bowl CB Jaire Alexander. The Eagles received Alexander and a seventh round pick, and sent Baltimore a sixth-round pick in return.
Reports suggest Alexander could play as early as Week 10 on Monday night against his former Packers team.
It’s not really surprising the Eagles would look to add some depth to the CB room, especially because there’s still no clear starter between Kelee Ringo, Adoree’ Jackson, and Jakorian Bennett. DC Vic Fangio even talked about Cooper DeJean taking snaps on the outside in their base package, but admitting he’s too good at nickel to move him full-time.
