Ahmedabad, Nov 1 (PTI) The Gujarat government on Saturday appointed ministers as in-charge of the state’s 34 districts to ensure smooth administration and better supervision.
The development came weeks after the expansion and reshuffle of the Bhupendra Patel government.
A state government release said newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi has been made in-charge minister of Vadodara and Gandhinagar, while Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai will handle Surat and Navsari.
“Agriculture minister Jitu Vaghani has been made in-charge of Amreli and Rajkot. Energy and Petrochemicals minister Rushikesh Patel has been made in-charge minister of Ahmedabad and newly created Vav-Tharad. Kunvarji Bavaliya is the in-charge minister of Porbandar and Devbhumi Dwarka
