A client of mine called me a few weeks ago after her company circulated a return-to-work mandate for employees to go from two days a week in office to three. Unsurprisingly, the company received some pushback. One such employee appeared to have used GPT or another LLM to prepare, what could only be described as a disproportionate, heavy handed reaction to the change.

The employee’s response contained more than 20 follow-up questions for the company to respond to within a short timeframe (one such question included ‘what data, if any, did the company review or refer to before making this policy’) and openly accused the company of being discriminatory (though he did not claim that the change in policy discriminated against him, specifically, in any way).
